Uncommon
Holborn, London
The Project

Located in the historic former home of Transport for London, is the new Holborn location for Uncommon which showcases an extraordinary and modern refurbishment. This unique space offers a variety of modern workspaces and amenities to cater to the needs of visiting professionals.

Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a welcoming café in the reception area, creating a perfect spot for casual meetings or a quick coffee break. The walls throughout the building are lined with lush planters, adding warmth to this vast workspace. The atrium, filled with natural light, features a stunning bar that serves as a central hub for socialising and networking.

Situated in the heart of Central London, this site is more than just a workplace; it is a true oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The transformation of this space is nothing short of incredible. We are so proud of the outcome of this project, and the images of the site truly capture its breathtaking beauty and the meticulous attention to detail that went into this fit-out.

The work

Pace Interiors delivered a comprehensive package of joinery elements, forming the foundation for the designs of several key areas, including the café and atrium. The fit-out package we delivered for this client included:

  • Fluted planters with custom-built upholstered seating, providing comfortable seating options for relaxation and informal meetings.
  • Two bespoke bars, each with its own unique charm: one is a portable bar with a stunning rooftop view of London, and the other is larger bar in the atrium, perfect for events and gatherings.
  • A beautifully tiled coffee bar located in the café and reception area.
  • Custom-designed washroom vanities, providing both functionality and luxury for customers after their commutes.
  • Feature wall and metal panelling that adds texture and visual interest to various parts of the building.
  • Tea points and kitchens across multiple floors, ensuring that residents have convenient access to refreshments.

Each of these elements was carefully designed and crafted to enhance the overall experience of those who use this space, making it a standout project that exemplifies innovation, style, and functionality.
